BEGINNER (CRADLE ROLL) PROGRAM HELPS
JESUS LOVES AND CARES FOR ME The Story of Elijah “The Cradle Roll theme for second quarter is entitled “Jesus Loves and Cares for Me.” The program helps include a variety of songs and activities based upon the life of Elijah as we emphasize how Jesus loved and cared for Elijah. In addition, the children will learn that Elijah talked to Jesus and his prayers were answered in special ways. Similarly, the Cradle Roll children will learn that Jesus loves them, cares for them, hears them when they pray, and answers their prayers in many different ways.”

GOD'S WAY IS BEST This theme gives a wonderful opportunity to present Christ’s way as the best one. Shows that Jesus is kind, loving Savior and Friend who always wants what is best for us. We can always trust him. The only way to find true happiness is to follow His instruction. His way is always best. The aim of this theme is to encourage each child to make a positive decision to choose God’s way. Each week the children are shown how to do this with our journey through life likened to a trip on a highway. Spiritual lessons will be drawn from a different traffic sign each week. If necessary, adapt these to your locality.
KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM HELPS
JESUS LOVES ME! GOOD NEWS! The Kindergarten theme for second quarter emphasizes the good news of Jesus’ love, His promises to come again soon, and how we can be ready to go to heaven to live with Him. The children are introduced to scenes from Jesus’ life on earth. Songs and activities reinforce the topics. Modern-day stories emphasize the theme thought in today’s setting. The children will be encouraged to choose Jesus and ask Him to live in their hearts and begin building a lasting relationship. During the quarter, the program emphasizes how much Jesus loves children, how He takes care of us, how He promises to come again to take us to heaven, and what we will want to do for Him when we love Him. Relationship is the key in this program, not just works of being good. When we love Jesus, we will want to do the things that make Him happy, and we will want to live with Him in heaven. The theme device displays a large cross as a symbol of what Jesus’ love did for us. It can be displayed on a large open Bible for excellent effect (the Bible is an extra item, not included in the theme package). Pictures to add each week emphasize the theme thought.

WITH GOD I CAN MANAGE Many people hold mistaken or incomplete notions of stewardship. They define stewardship too narrowly as mere money management while others think of it in terms of the major tasks of the church and their potential accomplishments through the united efforts of church members. Few of us think of stewardship as it really is – a broad scope of life management, not only of money, but also of time, health, influence and energy. God is not an unreasonable Master. He does not expect that which we cannot give. In these programs your class will be introduced to the basis for a concept of stewardship that will give them freedom to use their lives and all they have in balance, joyful, loving service to their Master. They will gain new insights into seeing Gods’ kind and just wisdom in what He requests of His “managers” and they will be able to live with new freedom in Christ.
